The FM203-HD is a package containing the FM-203 dual port soldering station, and the FM-2030 heavy duty soldering iron. The iron uses T22 series tips, which are sold separately.
The Hakko FM-203 is a dual port soldering station, delivering up to 140 watts of power. Built for versatility, the FM-203 is compatible with eight different irons and tweezers, and features two channels which can be used simultaneously. This system has the power and flexibility to perform a variety of tasks from working with standard through-hole parts, to fine pitched surface mount components.
When soldering in electronics, a variety of tools are used, including soldering irons, SMD hot tweezers, and desoldering tools, all with a wide variety of tip geometries and nozzle sizes. The new Hakko, dual port FM-203 soldering station, features two ports, labeled "D" and "S", which can be used with a combination of Hakko soldering and desoldering tools at the same time. Sleep Mode
The FM203 also features many other features making it very user friendly. Tool stands are connected to the station with a wire - the FM203 detects when they are both removed and placed back into their stand. This automatically turns the tool on and off, saving the user time and effort, while also extending tip life.
A lockout card can also be inserted into to the front panel to prevent accidental or unauthorized temperature changes. This is very useful is education or production environments, to ensure work is performed at the correct setting.
