I have owned this station well over a year and what I can say is that I whish that I had pulled the trigger on this station sooner. Soldering large ground points use to be a nightmare aren't a problem any more. The feature that puts the soldering station to sleep is awesome for the longevity of those expensive tips. I love that this station has versatility I use the micro pencil and tweezers which are both awesome in their own way. I'm glad that this station fits all my needs and I don't ever have to worry about not having enough power anymore.

This is a great soldering station with plenty of room for expansion regardless of what type of soldering you are looking to do. The hand piece that comes with the unit is great for general soldering work and with some of the smaller tips you can easily do some SMD work as well. The micro pencil hand piece this unit supports makes smaller SMD work possible. You can also get hot tweezers and a de-soldering unit which are also compatible with this station.

This Hakko FM203-01 is a great unit super quick to heat up, it woks with almost all the Hakko product attachments. The flat top makes it highly stack able. mine sits on top of my Weller WHA900. This Model comes with the Iron Holder that will put your tip to sleep saving you from oxidation due to remaining at high heat for long times. This is a good feature with a dual station because you can tend to leave both irons on. The Iron heats up fast about 3-5 seconds after it picked up. The Tip cleaner is also included and is very effective. The Irons from Hakko are Light and feel great in your hands. The High heat is almost is almost unnoticeable in your hand

The Dual wand capabilities of the Hakko FM203 are quite useful during general and fine pitch soldering work. I use the FM2027 and FM2032 hand-pieces. Soldering 0201 passives and 0.25mm pitch ICs is quite effective with this unit. The temperature setting is quick and easy when I'm using different solder types or larger masses. The wands recover from sleep mode quickly. Tequipment has excellent pricing on this unit also.
