Power Quality: Voltage Sag or Dip event
Example of a voltage sag or dip captured by PowerSight PS4500 Power Quality Analyzer. Sags less than 10 cycles in duration are presented in a sinusoidal format. Sags longer than 10 cycles are presented in the RMS domain.
Power Quality: RMS Voltage Sag or Dip event
Example of a voltage sag or dip captured by PowerSight PS4500 Power Quality Analyzer. Sags less than 10 cycles in duration are presented in a sinusoidal format. Sags longer than 10 cycles are presented in the RMS domain. This is an example of a voltage sag caused by a large load (such as a motor) turning on, running for a few seconds, then turning off.
Set triggers for power quality events, (sags, swells, transients), current inrush etc.
The PowerSight models PS4000 and PS4500 allow you to program triggers in the voltage and current domains to catch voltage sags and swells, transients (impulses) to 8us, or current inrush events when large machines or motors start up.
Transient
Transient voltage recorded by PS4000/PS4500 Power Quality Analyzer. PSM software allows you to zoom further, annotate and print.
Total Harmonic Distortion log
This graph shows THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) logged over time for both voltage and current. PowerSight models PS4000/PS4500 measure to 63rd order as standard. PS3000/PS3500 measure harmonics to 50th order as standard. (Note: For the PS250 and PS2500 loggers harmonics measurement is an option)
Generator Start Up (Voltage and Current Regulation)
Generator Tests: Start up current and voltage regulation behavior as captured by the PowerSight PS4500 Power Quality Analyzer. The PS4500 can be used for UPS and generator tests, load bank studies.
Power Quality: Sub-cycle Transient or Impulse Capture (spikes)
PowerSight PS4500 and PS4000 Power Quality Analyzers feature fast sampling to capture impulsive transients as short as 8us in duration and up to 1000V peak.
Generator Start Up (Frequency Regulation)
Generator Tests: Start up frequency regulation behavior as captured by the PowerSight PS4500 Power Quality Analyzer. The PS4500 can be used for UPS and generator tests, load bank studies.
RMS Voltage Logs
All PowerSight models are excellent tools for logging voltage, current, and power parameters. Log graphs of RMS values can be displayed on your PC with PSM software (supplied with every PowerSight) and pasted into a Word document with a mouse click. Note that PSM allows you to zoom, expand, export to Excel and annotate with labels to highlight events or behavior.
View real-time waveforms, harmonics, phasors in scope mode
The oscilloscope features in all PowerSight meters allow you to view voltage and current waveforms, see the harmonic spectrum on any phase and get phasor diagrams.
Harmonic Spectra
All PowerSight meters measure harmonics to the 50th harmonic. (Note: For the PS250 and PS2500 loggers harmonics measurement is an option)
Harmonic table of magnitudes and phase angles
All PowerSight meters measure harmonics to the 50th harmonic and can display both the harmonic spectra for voltage or current, and a harmonic magnitude and phase angle table. (Note: For the PS250 and PS2500 loggers harmonics measurement is an option)
Phasors
View phasor diagrams with any PowerSight model. Check connections and imbalance. Observe on a PC or PDA safely away from high voltages using Bluetooth communications with Bluetooth-enabled PowerSight meters.

Power Direction
PowerSight meters can report direction of power flow, and whether power is being consumed or exported.
Power and Energy Studies - True Power Watts
All PowerSight models measure and record power (watts, VA, VAR, PF) and energy in KWh.
Power and Energy Studies - kWh Report
All PowerSight models measure and record power (watts, VA, VAR, PF) and energy in KWh.
Out of Harms Way! PowerSight in SCAS2 Case
Thanks go to Bruce Lonie of PowerCet (a consulting and training company) who sent us this excellent picture of a PowerSight monitoring power to large walk-in food coolers in a commercial kitchen. He cleverly used the soft case SCAS2 to hang the meter out of harms way, and in a safe way.
View Real-Time Meters Locally / Remotely.
The meter window in every PowerSight meter displays real time values just like a multimeter for spot checks and ensuring you have good signal connections. Additionally, the Remote Control function in PSM software mimicks the front panel on your your PC or Netbook so you can operate and control Bluetooth enabled PowerSight meters remotely. Thus from a safe distance, up to 25 feet away, you can view meter values, waveforms and more.
PowerSight Meters: Best For Safety - Compliance with NFPA 70E
Be Comfortable. Be Safe. PowerSight meters / analyzers with Bluetooth wireless communications allow you to: Remove protective gear in a safe area and get away from high voltages after installing probes. Remotely perform power monitoring and electrical testing (up to 25 feet away) via a PC or PDA.
Bluetooth for Safety via PC or PDA
Be safer, be more comfortable! Get relief from wearing PPE. After installing probes move to safe distance and remove hoods or visors and thick-fingered gloves. Use a PC, netbook, or PDA and communicate wirelessly to a Powersight via Bluetooth, up to 25 feet away. Perform set-up, download data, check connections etc. away from high voltages. PSM software for the PC allows remote operation via any PC or netbook equipped with Bluetooth.
