Good Meter - Poor Contrast Display
4.0
The 287 has been working great so far. My only complaint is that the screen has poor contrast compared to my Extech meter, even when in a very well lit lab environment. In order to get comparable contrast, you need to enable the back light on the screen, which I assume will drain the batteries much faster. I'm not saying the screen is un-readable, just that it isn't as easy to read as other meters. There are settings to adjust the contrast, but they just make the screen darker. The screen looks good when the meter is off, but as soon as you turn it on, the "baseline" becomes slightly darker, like the pixels are slightly on. This causes the contrast between the truly "on" pixels, and the "off" pixels to be poor.

Low quality plastic stand
2.0
In the first look, I became very disappointed because I couldn't close the cheap plastic stand in its place. I was thinking of something else about FLUKE.
I hope at least in measurement parts it has enough quality.

Foam Lined Case
5.0
I bought one for my FLIR IR thermometer and got an extra one for my Fluke hand held and clamp meter. Easy to pull the foam squares out to fit pretty much any shape. The foam squares are ~1/2 square, but run the full depth. But, it is easy to cut to the depth you want. I had to double back tape the top foam liner because it always fell out when you opened the box. But not a big deal. A whole lot better than letting my instruments bang around in a drawer or tool box.

Nice meter, needs to be brought up to date.
3.0
The meter works very well and does what I needed. The down side is that the ONLY way to get information out of it is through the "optional" IR port reader for your PC. There is no reason it should not have at least a micro USB or better yet a USB C port. Perhaps it is only my meter but the display is not as clear and crisp as in the pictures, even with the back light on.

Plastic Case
3.0
The case is fine; mine was a free add-on when I purchased a Fluke clamp meter. For occasional use; it's fine. If you are a pro and do this all day long; you may need something more durable. Of course it has the TEquipment logo on it.

Nice meter

Our current fleet of Fluke meter (we have around 10) is about 4 years or older. This is very nice with advanced features (many of which we will never use) that has the accuracy that we need.

Great case!

I love how the foam is pre cut and can be removed to fit the item you're storing in it (in my case, a fluke 325). This was great because I was able to fit the fluke and an AC line splitter in the case. Very durable case as well, it can definitely withstand bumps and drops.

Here's what it needs to do better
2.0
It's a Fluke, so yeah, it works for measuring electrical properties. But Fluke really needs to step up their game (this is 2018!!!). For $400 , this device needs:
a) direct USB connection for power and communications (it currently has an infrared port and you need a special Ir-USB cable, power is only via batteries); this would allow you to monitor something for weeks without worrying your batteries will die;
b) large size and vertical orientation makes it unstable - it should support a horizontal orientation also (screen image auto-rotates) so that it can mount on a small desktop stand;
c) Bluetooth and Android App (which can retrieve log data or do real-time logging itself, graph the data).
d) color TFT

Pretty good case

I was going to use this for my Fluke 773, but decided to use it for something else instead. Quality of the case is good, but the meter had several sets of leads, plus instructions and fitting it all in was a challenge.

GREAT METER! Currently utilize this equipment on a daily basis and have been extremely satisfied with the quality and accuracy.
Ordering from TE was extremely easy, with fast delivery times and very competitive pricing. When I spoke with a TE representative they were helpful and courteous. In today's market, this type of customer service is a breath of fresh air. I will definitely be recommending TE and Fluke to my coworkers and friends!!!!
Thank you TE, I will definitely be a return customer!!!!

Handy little meter case
5.0
The IWH HD-76 came free with my pneumatic calibrator, and I love it. I was actually able to fit two testing devices in it at the same time. I usually carry these in my hand and under my arm, but now I have the ability to carry them conveniently, and at the same time protect them.
Thanks Tequipment!

Very Happy With It
5.0
My 2nd T-Equipment purchase and 1st Fluke DMM. 4.5 stars to TE for customer service (phone order) and S&H. Shipment left the warehouse one day late due to heavy pre-holiday business, but I received it "just in time".
#1 reason for buying the Fluke 287 (intentionally w/o PC software) is STAND-ALONE data-logging AND graphing feature (and zoom too!). Many other data-logging DMMs need a PC or Bluetooth device for graphing. I have been giving all the features a good "workout" for the last 4 weeks and everything works as expected.
Wishlist for a 287 successor: Real-time graphing. With the present model, you have to stop recording to watch the graph on the LCD (and then resume recording, if you want to continue). I knew this in advance. Real-time graphing is possible with a PC, but I would like stand-alone operation. Because of this, "only" 4.5 stars. Otherwise, I love my 287.
4.5 is walking on water. 5 would be walking on steam. Hi Fluke R&D guys, can you do the real-time graphing? I would love you guys even more.
