AC Current Probe (Lead - 1mV/A - 240A max)
The MN251 is a general-purpose AC current probe with voltage output. It is designed for use with DMMs or with measuring instruments with voltage inputs. These probes permit the measurement or recording of current with instruments without current ranges. The voltage output is proportional to the current measured (through the jaws). The MN251 offers a voltage output of 1mV per Amp measured. The MN251 has integral 5 ft (1.5m) leads terminated by shrouded banana plugs.
The Model MN251 is the latest in compact AC current probes. It is designed to meet the most stringent demands in industry and electrical contracting. Model MN251 meets EN 61010, 600V, Cat. III safety standards and is CE Marked and UL approved.
The Model MN251 has a 0.78" (20mm) jaw opening and accommodates conductors up to 250MCM. The unique hooked jaw design facilitates clamping and hooking onto conductors. Polycarbonate materials and ultrasonic welding are used throughout to ensure ruggedness and overall lasting reliability.
The Model MN251 uses tape-wound cores to further improve its high and low-end performance. Rated at 200Arms it has a measurement range to 240Arms.
