Anyone that has ever used a Fluke, knows the quality of a Fluke. I started with a 78, moved to a 87 and now have the 233. This meter with its remote head feature is so useful when used in dangerous situations or when viewing the display is difficult. Tasks like watching the a generator ATS switch power sources at best done remotely.
I've been using mine daily since 2016 and have changed the meter body batteries twice and changed the head once. I use the remote a fair amount, but only when needed. Between the remote feature, magnetic head and optional magnetic strap these is the meter to get.

Foam Lined Case

I bought one for my FLIR IR thermometer and got an extra one for my Fluke hand held and clamp meter. Easy to pull the foam squares out to fit pretty much any shape. The foam squares are ~1/2 square, but run the full depth. But, it is easy to cut to the depth you want. I had to double back tape the top foam liner because it always fell out when you opened the box. But not a big deal. A whole lot better than letting my instruments bang around in a drawer or tool box.

The case is fine; mine was a free add-on when I purchased a Fluke clamp meter. For occasional use; it's fine. If you are a pro and do this all day long; you may need something more durable. Of course it has the TEquipment logo on it.

I love how the foam is pre cut and can be removed to fit the item you're storing in it (in my case, a fluke 325). This was great because I was able to fit the fluke and an AC line splitter in the case. Very durable case as well, it can definitely withstand bumps and drops.

The IWH HD-76 came free with my pneumatic calibrator, and I love it. I was actually able to fit two testing devices in it at the same time. I usually carry these in my hand and under my arm, but now I have the ability to carry them conveniently, and at the same time protect them.

I purchased this Fluke 233 Digital multimeter and it is one of the best tools I could ever have. The ease of operation with the magnetic display is awesome. The display that disconnects from the meter has a magnet on it so you could apply to any metal enclosure. This is my second multimeter that I have purchased the first one lasted nine years of daily heavy-duty use. If you want to a professional meter that delivers accurate readings the Fluke 233 is great!!

I have always liked Fluke meters until I purchased this one. I use this meter as my primary meter and at all the wrong times I get a 'low batt' message. Thats not the worst part, then you have to replace the batteries in BOTH the Head and Base unit, 5 AA's.
If you do not need the remote head option, stay away from this unit!

This is a great meter by fluke. The ability to detach the head is awesome and useful. I give it a 4 rating
instead of my normal 5 star rating for fluke gear because the batteries in the removable display head have a very short life. The description says the life of the batteries to be 400 hours, but I think that is only in the base unit not the display. The display takes AA batteries which are great and easy to come by, but in this unit don't last long at all and we constantly have to change them.

This Fluke multimeter has been a great diagnostic tool. The remote display has come it very handy in in-vehicle testing where one person can read the display while the other probes in less than accessible areas.
Only improvement would be a higher resolution for low current readings.
