The FLIR T440bx is a powerful thermal camera designed specifically for building inspection applications. FLIR designed the T440bx with plenty of features which allow it to excel in these areas. Chief among these features is FLIR's Alarm Alerts. These alarms can be set to alert you to humidity and dew point levels as well as areas where insulation has failed. These alarms are only available on "bx" cameras and can be very helpful during building inspections. The T440bx also features a temperature range of -4°F to 1202°F (-20°C to 650°C) with ±2% accuracy. This range is capable of covering most building inspections. The T440bx also features 1 live line profile so users can monitor a live temperature graph across a line profile on the thermal image. In addition, the T440bx features an ergonomically designed rotating optical block which makes capturing images easy no matter how awkward or difficult the environment.

Ergonomic & Intuitive

The T440bx thermal camera is designed with inspectors in mind. That's why FLIR has incorporated a rotating optical block into the camera's design. The block is capable of moving up and down up to 120 degrees, giving you added flexibility when capturing images in awkward environments or tight spaces. The T440bx also features large buttons which make it easy to capture images, adjust fine focus, and change camera settings even with gloved hands. The camera's 3.5 inch LCD touch screen features an easy-to-use interface and responsive, accurate touch technology. This screen also features Auto Orientation, which ensures images and overlays on-screen remain upright no matter camera orientation. The integrated laser pointer and LED light on the T440bx also make image capturing easier by improving shooting accuracy, even in environments where it is difficult to see.

FLIR MeterLink

FLIR MeterLink further expands the capabilities of the FLIR T440bx thermal camera. MeterLink enables Bluetooth communication between the T440bx and select FLIR and Extech clamp and moisture meters, further increasing the versatility of the T440bx. This meter data is then automatically embedded into thermal images, providing more complete assessments and helping to quantify thermal events. This can be essential during building inspections and diagnostics.
