simple to use, lots of features

I am impressed that it can measure down to 1 mA. This is more than adequate for finding leakage current in my automotive and industrial work. I should have bought one of these 40 years ago!

Great for students
5.0
I compared this against my Extech MA445 as well as two other Extech DMMs. It works great for breadboards but also electrical wires in the house. I only observed a measurement error because the range setting I selected. When compared to three other meters, and zeroing this CM, I found my measurements to be agreeable with one another. I find this meter convenient for breadboard-work for students in a college/university setting.

Absolute piece of junk
1.0
Bought specifically for the AC/DC clamp on ammeter functionality, "sort of" worked for maybe 3 months, then simply failed to reset to ZERO on 4A DC scale..
Sorry rather pay 5 times more for a Fluke, they just work, for ever....

Exctech 380950
4.0
Only complaint is that the meter is supposed to be able to send the input signal out to another meter or scope. This does not work.
It's a good meter other wise.

Works well for my application
4.0
Purchased this to measure ~2A DC currents in a tight wiring loom, the small diameter jaw worked well to capture the individual wires for measurement. Controls were simple and obvious.
The meter was easy to use. As to accuracy, running a quick test I'm reading 1.75A on a series ammeter and 1.86A on the clamp meter, making sure to zero the meter before applying power, so I'm not sure I'm getting the 2.5% accuracy I was expecting. I'm new to clamp meters so this could be operator error.
All in all the meter allowed me t take measurements I would not be able to achieve with the standard tools at my disposal including larger-jawed meters, so I'm happy with the purchase.

Extech Mini AC/DC Ammeter
5.0
Perfect tool for detecting the parasitic drain on cars with computers that use current to store troubleshhooting codes. Normal parasitic current is about 50mA, my car was drawing 75-80 mA, and using the Extech 380950 I was able to identify the circuit and clear the codes that were drawing the excess current.
Highly recommend this tool for reading AC/DC milliamps.

Mini Motor Meter & Process Milliameter
5.0
Thanks, TEquipment!
You processed my order & I received the Extech quickly! I have bought equipment from you before and will again. I like the meter so much I gave it a nickname...as well as to pick
& prod @ other maintenance members with my company. The meter allows me to do instrumentation, electronics and
controls work as well as small to medium size electric motor work without bringing out more expensive equipment
right away. This saves ME time & money. I prefer a backlit
display but the price compared to quality is great. I own
several Extech meter's and encourage anyone who hasn't tried one to consider this company. Thank you.
