The Fluke 902 FC and Fluke 324 are both True RMS clamp meters. Both can measure current and voltage, however the 902 FC is a more fully featured unit with numerous special features not found on the 324. Perhaps the most significant feature of the 902 FC is its compatibility with the Fluke Connect® system of wireless tools. This powerful system gives you unparalleled flexibility in your work and makes saving and sharing measurement data much fast and easier. Read on below for a full breakdown of the differences between these meters.
Measurement Capabilities
The Fluke 902 FC can measure voltage up to 600 V AC/DC as well as current up to 600 A AC. Other measurements are also possible including resistance up to 60 kΩ and capacitance up to 1000 μF. The 902 FC also includes a DC microampere measurement range up to 200 µA. This meter can also perform contact temperature measurements from -10 °C to 400 °C (14 °F to 752 °F). The 902 FC also includes a min/max recording function.
The Fluke 324 can measure voltage up to 600 V AC/DC as well as AC current up to 400 A. Other measurements are also possible including resistance up to 4000 Ω and capacitance up to 1000 μF. This meter is also capable of performing contact temperature measurements from -10 °C to 400 °C (14 °F to 752 °F).
Special Features
The 902 FC is compatible with the Fluke Connect® system of wireless connected tools. This powerful systems lets you log and trend measurements to pinpoint intermittent faults, transmit results wirelessly via the Fluke Connect® Measurements app, create and send reports right from the field, and capture measurements from safely outside the arc flash zone using Bluetooth connectivity to your Apple or Android devices. Fluke Connect® also lets you record results directly to your phone and the Fluke Cloud™. You can even use Fluke Connect® to create and share reports from the field via email, or converse in real time with ShareLive™ video calls.
The 902 FC is designed with HVAC technicians in mind and includes some features specifically for these applications. These include the extended resistance range to measure a broad set of thermistors and μA DC current range to measure flame sensor current, as well as contact temperature and capacitance. Both meters include bright display backlights and display hold functions as well as soft carrying cases.
Safety & Warranty
The 902 FC has been rated to IP30 against water and dust ingress and comes with a standard 3-year warranty. This meter is also safety rated to CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V. The 324 is also rated to IP30 and is safety rated to CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V. This meter comes with a standard 2-year warranty.
