Poor quality control and firmware defects

Original item had a defective fuse. Replacement item from Weller was missing a "3.5mm pawl connecter". Displayed "eip" instead of "tip" error message for unknown reason (tip is new and works). Entered "special functions" menu #2 after pressing "?and ?" for about 1 sec.; possibly due to magnet near pencil handle and "setback = 0".
