Have used many, I love this unit. If the tif cant find the leak, there isn't one.Inastant response, easy reset, simple and reliable.

Great tool
My first reliable electronic leak detector was the tif xp1a. It finally failed,after 15 years use. Over the last year i have tried multiple replacements, with varying success.Last month my new XP-1a arrived and has been put through its paces. R134a at 30 psi static found reliably. Eg. Area scan showed up. Was able to zero in and find an evaporator pinhole, without multiple false detctions. So glad to have my favourite detector back.

Functions as HFE-7100 detector
This unit was purchased to measure leakage in pipes of HFE-7100. While it is not possible to calibrate the unit and quantify the leakage, this was known before purchase. It will give a yes/no answer and that is worth the purchase price.
