TIF Instruments was formed in the 1950’s as part of Miami, Florida’s largest HVAC/R contractor. By 1960 the business became independent and formally became the TIF Instruments of today. Over the last 50 years, TIF has released new, innovative products such as the world's first portable electronic refrigerant leak detector (Tif-Tector), the VA105 Volume-Aire air balancer, and the Tic-Tracer family of non-contact voltage detectors, which revolutionized safe electrical testing. These are only a few of TIF Instruments’ 30+ patents. Today TIF is an innovation leader and continues to aggressively bring laboratory technology and precision to the field service technician.
