The TIF8900 tool is broad-band, battery operated, solid state electronic combustible gas detector. The instrument provides a "geiger counter" ticking signal which increases in frequency as the source of combustible gas or vapor is approached. It is excellent for pin-pointing the location of combustible gas leaks as low as 5 PPM. This unit includes a carrying case, owner's manual, rechargeable batteries and recharger. TIF 8900
After comparing various makes and models of combustible gas detectors, I found the TIF 8900 to be the best choice. Many of the detectors have a vague sensitivity setting that I believe limits the usefulness of the product. Many also have to long of warm up times or cool down times. The TIF 8900 is a fair price for a great product that has adjustable sensitivity/calibration, clear and easily understood warnings of leaks, and minimal warm up and cool down times. Additional the price here was much lower than many other places I looked for this product.
