The temps widely vary, we bought 6 of these total, and two have stopped working right. Sad thing is we bought these during the pandemic at $150 each, and now they are $24.99. I think we got taken. Was to be a good quality and I am disappointed we paid $900 on something that is $150 for 6.

Purchased this for myself. I have to receive a bunch of turned in equipment from many students at the end of each semester and just wanted an extra safeguard for myself. It works fantastically! There is an extra setting that I was not aware of when I purchased it that measures 'surface' temperature. It's range is limited from 32 to 140 degrees but that has also been helpful. This setting is NOT accurate for body temp and you don't have to be 'as close' to the item as when checking body temperature. Great unit! Caught a GREAT sale!

We purchased two of these systems back in May. They work alright for the most part, but the software is a little buggy (crashes a lot, even though we installed them on clean, brand new systems with no other software installed except for Jump Desktop for remote access). Temperature readings are a degree or two lower than actual temperatures, which is relatively ok, but we get a lot of false high temperature readings, usually in the afternoon, but sometimes in the morning as well. Tech support is slow to respond, and usually exacerbates the slow response by only corresponding through email, and usually asking questions that don't really help move things along. In retrospect, I probably would have purchased a Fotric system.

I've tried several brand of IR thermometer, the reading wasn't even close to my temporal thermometer. Only had it for about 2 to three months, and use by my family and relatives, trying to double check our status before going out in public spaces due to Covid19. So far the reading was close to or the same reading when we got checked in the entrance of the place we're going. And this IR thermometer can be calibrated one of the reason I bought it.

After using another nurses one shift I had to get one of these for myself. It's the best one in my opinion, and for being the best the price is actually affordable. Be sure you calibrate it when you get it. It takes two seconds to calibrate it. You take an oral temp then go into the menu and adjust the F3 setting up or down until scanning from the forehead reads the same as the oral thermometer. Then you're good to go. Oh, also scanning different parts of the face gives different results, it's normal. Look at an infrared picture of a face and it's super obvious how there's variations in temp across it. The IR200 came with really good instructions, and it paid off to read them and watch some vids on youtube. I was surprised what I didn't know, but I get it now and feel super confident with mine.

The Extech IR200 is now the only unit being used by our medical staff. No other units have proven as accurate or durable. The range on the IR200 is superior. With all staff trained on one model, we calibrate the units together regularly and are able to know we have accurate, repeatable results across multiple IR200 units. Compared to these the others are like toys.

We purchased one, hoping that because it had a dedicated temp source the temp scanning would be more accurate. It is far from it. It reads your temp differently based on height. I had it set up in my office, it read my temp fine and consistent for several hours. I went out side in the heat (80 degrees and wind blowing). Came back in side and for the rest of the afternoon i was over 100 degrees and my thermometer read me the same temp before and after going outside. Really disappointed and can't return.

Set it right at the entrance. Hook up to a large TV set so when people come in, they will stop to look at themselves on the T, giving time for scanner to do its work.
People can see themselves and the results PASS or FAIL status on the TV.
Also change the PASS sound with the voice message informing PASSED, Can come in etc.....

This unit is very good once you find the proper distances and angle for the environment you set it up in. the fact that it is portable has both benefits and drawbacks. you can move it to other locations rapidly but some times it gets knocked out of alignment by people with awareness issues. Witness marks are a must once you find the correct positioning to maintain smooth operations.

Ordered 2 of these and neither of them are even close to being accurate. Upon unboxing we checked 5 individuals and 4 had temps of 101-102 and the other had temp of 96.1. Very disappointed these didn't work out. So much for the /- the half degree the tolerance states. These thermometers may be able to tell you if the individual is currently alive, but I wouldn't expect much more than that out them.

Product lists accuray as 0.5 degrees F. However, product is not accurate. On multiple attempts temp. ranges from 96.2-98 degrees. That is a 2 degree range. How can that be helpful?
