This low amp probe is an improved version of the PP218 - 60 amp current clamp and features superior noise rejection.
The PP264 current clamp is ideal for use with PicoScope automotive oscilloscopes for measuring currents between 10 mA and 60 A. This enables the PicoScope to display current waveforms for fuel injectors and fuel pumps.
The current clamp has two calibration settings, set by a slider switch on the handle of the probe.
In use there is no need to break into the circuit or disturb the isolation as the opening jaws simply clamp around the current carrying conductor. No electrical contact is required.
These current clamps have been designed for use with PicoScope oscilloscopes and feature additional screening to reduce noise pickup. Noise floor is around 10 mA.

A fine buy
4.0
This instrument met all of it's claims. It was accurate to the millivolt. I compared it's results and readings with other instruments and it performed accurately. The only reason for the 4 star rating was that when using it with an oscilloscope it picked up random noise so that low level readings were hard to discern. Setting the acquiring mode on the scope to 'averaging' cleared it up. Using an adapter from BNC connector to multimeter test probesallowed accurate low level readings.

Noisy but accurate.
This meter works as advertised. It is usable with a multimeter with an adapter to connect from BNC to test probes. When measuring with an oscilloscope there is noise when you get below 20 MV. Using the scope's noise abatement features helped a lot.
