The Megger MIT210 1000 V Insulation and continuity tester is one of the smallest insulation testers available on the market today. With options of one, two and three voltage test voltage instruments, the Megger MIT210 instruments offer a range of safety and operation features. The display of the Megger MIT210 offers a combination of digital readout and analog display, using Megger’s patented DART display technology, which includes the benefits of an LCD display, such as robust, clear and accurate measurement, with an analog pointer response for evaluating circuit charge and discharge characteristics. The Megger MIT 210 housing is in tough ABS, designed to with-stand the rigorous of hard use, and is small enough to drop into your pocket when not in use. Battery requirements are 6 AA batteries of either standard alkaline or nickel metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable type.
Automatic continuity testing is performed at 200 mA to ensure compliance with international requirements. There is no need to press the test button. The Megger MIT-210 will measure up to 100 Ω on continuity, of which 0-10 Ω is performed at greater than 200 mA to meet international electrical testing requirements. Lead null is possible up to 9.99 Ω of test lead resistance, ensuring the ability to null fused test leads as well as standard leads.
A continuity buzzer provides a means of rapid cable testing and circuit identification, with voltage protection should you accidentally touch a live circuit. The buzzer operates at a 2 Ω threshold. The buzzer operates at a 2 Ω threshold.
Insulation testing is possible up to 1000 Ω on all ranges. Auto discharge ensures all circuits are safely discharged after testing. The 1000 V insulation test range have a high voltage warning prior to test voltage being applied.
The Megger MIT210 Insulation and continuity tester is designed with safety as its primary objective. The Megger MIT/200 meets or exceed the requirements of safety directive IEC 61010 and EN61557 for insulation and continuity testing.
A built-in voltmeter automatically switches in when the instrument is connected to a circuit with an AC or DC voltage greater than 25 V.
Circuits in excess of 25 V will generate a voltage warning. Circuits over 50 V will inhibit testing of the insulation, protecting the operator and the Megger MIT210 from injury or damage.
The Megger MIT210 Insulation and continuity tester has been designed for use on applications up to 600 V CAT III.
The Megger MIT-210 Insulation/continuity tester will find applications in electrical contracting, both on domestic and industrial systems, as well as site maintenance and service departments. The Megger MIT210 of insulation and continuity testers are ideal for testing transformers, motors, generators switch gear, panel building, domestic appliances, power tools etc., as well as fixed electrical wiring systems. The Megger MIT-210's small size and light weight make the Megger MIT210 ideal for those engineers that need to carry them for extended periods. All instruments meet the requirements of most International Standards including VDE0413 Part 1 and BS7671 (the 16th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations).

The -EN is simply a regional code. Megger, being a global company, packages and makes certain functions preset, depending on where in the world their equipment is meant to be used. The -EN versions feature instructions in English. They also use imperial/US measurements and conventions on their equipment displays.

The Megger MIT200 series is a great, one-handed tester. They are all easy to operate (turn the dial to the test voltage and then press the thumb-button to start). They all feature the following functions - Insulation Testing: 1GOhm Max Auto Ranging Auto Discharge Test Inhibit (when voltage is present over 50V) Live Voltmeter function Continuity Testing: Continuity @ >200mA Continuity Buzzer Auto-Continuity Test The only way the Megger MIT210 and MIT230 differ is in the voltages they test at. The MIT210 is a fixed tester at 1000V only. The MIT230 can test at 250V, 500V and 1000V. If you need the flexibility to test at different voltages, then the MIT230 is a great choice. The MIT200 series does not do any timed tests, have any data recording or advanced functions. For those features, see the Megger MIT400 series.
