The Hioki SM Series Super Megohm Meters are high resistance and ultra low current inspection devices with a 0.1 fA resolution to offer precise testing on production lines. The SM7420 is industry's fastest 4-channel simultaneous super megohm meter that supports applications for improving the productivity of passive components such as capacitors and filters.
2000 V microcurrent measurement With a single instrument, you can measure protective semiconductor elements such as varistors, vehicle capacitors, and other high-voltage components. This SUPER MEGOHM METER applies voltage from 0.1 V to 2000 V and measures with a resolution of 0.1 fA.
Lowest threshold value setting of 0.1 pF The super megohm meter allows you to perform reliable contact checks on low-capacity capacitors as well as on other measurement objects with small capacitance.
2-band selection To prevent the check signals on a production line with multiple various measuring instruments from getting crossed, select the measurement frequency for contact checks.
Compatible with external power sources The contact check function is also available when you use the instrument as an ammeter with an external power source. The instrument is also suitable for measurements over 2000 V.
Cable length correction function To replace a cable, simply register the measur ing cable length. Time-consuming adjustments are no longer necessary and the instrument can be used for changing the line in a flexible manner.
