Good voltage tester for electricians
5.0
This is a pretty good stand-in for the old "solenoid voltage tester" (a.k.a. "wiggy") for electricians, if you need something a bit more modern. Personally I keep a wiggy as well as they're both quite good tools, if functionally equivalent.
Either this or a wiggy is /the/ tool that you should be using to test if something is safe, not a non-contact ("hot stick") tester. A non-contact tester is fine timesaver for seeing if you've managed to get the power on, but a safety check should be done by measuring the voltage between two terminals. The T Pro is of course the tool for that, and is simple and cheap enough to tote around in a pocket without worrying about it getting beat up like an expensive meter. It also has a lower impedance to reduce the effects of "ghost" voltages (capacitively coupled voltages).

T+Pro Electric Tester - awesome
5.0
Some really nice features. Don't have to physically turn the tester on...touch the probes together, touch circuitry and the tester comes alive. Should save tremendously on battery life. Light is nice to work around unlit CB boxes and when room lights are off. Vibration feature is great to let you know you have dangerous (high) voltage. Many other very nice features of this test. Probably the best feature is that you don't have to switch between ohms and voltage. You don't have to worry about blowing up your meter when you accidently wanted ohms when you touch a live circuit. It automatically senses voltage and reads voltage, or ohms when there is not voltage present. The only draw back is that it does not measure less than 12 volts. Lacks the capability to measure 1.5 batteries, 3 volt, 5 volt USB connectors etc. However, really designed for measuring electrical wiring voltage and ohms it is a superb tester. Really like this tester.

Fast Voltage Measurements with Visual and Audio.
4.0
The Fluke T Pro is very convenient, rugged meter when you need a quick voltage measurement with visual indication and is very handy with one of the probes attached to the back of tester.
The continuity test is the only disappointing factor of the meter, which I thought was a typo on the data sheet, until it was tested to be < 22 K ohm; I am accustomed to < 50 ohms.
The resistance measurement is good for >10 ohms (0.01 K Ohm) to 9.99 K ohm and is pretty precise, but has a very slow refresh rate.
The Voltage Indication lights do not exactly correspond to the appropriate voltages as the values get higher, but is still a good indication with all the lights lit, that there is potentially very dangerous voltages present.
For the convenience of not having to pull out the Fluke 289 to see if the 120 VDC/AC supply is still there, phase rotation indication and the pocket size form factor, the T Pro gets 4 Stars!
Lead Lengths: ~33 in.
Meter Length w/Leads (bent/tucked to maximum): ~10 in.

Back-light: Orange.
Screen Display: Looses pixels at tilted vertical level, best held horizontally or in direct line of sight vertically.
LED Light: Very bright with auto-off.
DC Voltage: Displays starts at 10 VDC

LCD display not up to par
3.0
Their is a problem with this tester, that the LCD display fades out when looked at from reasonable angles. I pay good money for Fluke Products expecting 100 percent quality! I'm a little bit disappointed, all other aspects of this tester are in my opinion excellent!

Fluke T+Pro Electrical Tester
5.0
The Fluke T Pro is the one with the voltage meter added to it. The meter comes in handy, this meter works very very well... If you are testing a panel for voltage on the breakers in an environment that might be noisy.. The fact that you can hear the meter and feel the vibration... That will let you know that the circuit you are touching is live, and the LEDs will tell you how much voltage you're dealing with.. As we know, beyond 120 V we sure want to be notified and that is where this meter and the way it works will inform you. On the DC side, below 24 V DC the polarity LED indicators do not Light, odd and not that important, the voltmeter will tell you the polarity. Overall telling me the polarity under 24 V with LED indicators is an important. The meter worked great when used for car automotive purposes. The sound and the vibration are both sufficient to alert you in a situation where High Voltage occurs, the GFCI is also an excellent feature works great. Motor phase rotation.. I have not had a chance to check this feature out but suspect it could be informative. the continuity tester also works very well also with the ability to read some resistance in the circuit, This meter is an excellent choice it is durable.. And I suspect that will last me a very very very long time with good care.

Excellent Voltage/Continuity Tester
5.0
So far so good. After having numerous Klein testers break or stop working in the past couple of years, I switched to an Ideal tester - fine as far as it goes, but awkward in use. Finally decided to pony up for the Fluke Pro and I won't be looking back. Great durability and tons of functionality. Highly recommended. I'll update if I discover reliability issues...

Best Electrical Tester
5.0
I would highly recommend this fluke T Pro to anyone who is looking to purchase a voltage tester. All around it is the most advanced tester on the market. I really like the backlit display and auto on/off. It also has a flashlight and a GFI tester built in. I own a fluke t5-600, T Pro, and a fluke 115 multimeter, and the T Pro gets the most use.

Fluke T+Pro Electrical Tester
5.0
Safe design for trouble shooting control voltage and 480 voltage without having to change settings. Has a probe holder so meter fits in one hand while other probe is put on terminal. Shows reading without having to let go of meter. Flashlight, voltage scale and readout are easy to use and see in low light conditions. Great quality tester for a good price.
