The Fluke RLD2 UV flashlight is compatible with most commercially available UV leak detection dyes. Fluke recommends Yellow Jack and Tracer dyes.

No, this unit does not include any dyes, though they are readily available from local parts and tool retailers.

Fluke recommends using amber tinted high contrast glasses. However, leaks may be visible without using glasses.

UV Light

Exceptional light. The UV light is unbelievably bright. A lot of others are barely visible. This one could be used as a blue flashlight. Along with the leak detector glasses this light makes it a breeze to find leaks and you don't need to put it down and grab a flashlight to get a good view around the leak since it has a flashlight built in. By far the best UV light I've had in 32 years of working with A/C systems.

I've only needed to use it a few times but have been very impressed with the quality lighting coming from this device. Was able to locate a Freon leak quickly and fix the issue.

Leak detector flashlight
Cool little flashlight. Has three separate functions and is capable of detecting leaks. I do automotive AC work and it is a valuable tool to have.
