This voltage detector is pretty simple but gets the job done. I have no doubt that it operates in a similar fashion to all of the other detectors out there, but it seems to be pretty accurate at detecting. I have used it multiple times when wiring up ceiling fans and light switches without it being wrong. I would recommend this if you need a simple voltage detector for working on AC wiring.
