Things I like about the Extech MO210: 1. Slim design fits nicely in hand 2. Extech provides extra probes that easily screw on 3. The cap has a calibration that you can touch the probes to make sure it is working correctly 4. Bar graph and digital numbered readout are easy to read 5. Cap acts as the on/off switch. Unit turns off when the cap is on the unit and turns on as soon as you remove the cap. Improvements: 1. Moisture measurement only reads when the probes are touching the wood....reading is lost as soon as the contact to wood is no longer occurring. It would be nice if the measurement held on the screen for a few seconds after the probs were removed from the wood. 2. No backlighting on display 3. Does not come with a case (with a belt loop would be nice) 4. The cap does not fit onto the base of the unit, so it could be easily lost. Some competitors have a place on the base of the unit where the cap can be stored while using the device.
