More meter than I need, but that's a good thing
4.0
Multi meters run from the very expensive to the very cheap and quality is usually in line with the cost. My needs were very mediocre, only once have I needed to measure resistance or current accurately or at extreme levels and except for the temperature measurement never have I needed the other functions. so the EX3300 was far more than I will ever likely need - but IMO that is the manner you should choose all tools. I was drawn to the EX3300 because the thermocouple was included, I do need to measure fluid temps on occasion. As far as quality or reliability I cannot say yet, but it sure seems to have the feel of good craftsmanship. This multi meter just jumped out as being a good meter for not a lot of money money

Good For the price.
4.0
It's a good size, it works great as a second DMM or a low budget DMM, I have also an Extch ex520 which is way better but it did cost more. The only issue is the NCV sounds funny when testing it's not the best but it works. Test leads also not the best but works like intended.

Good for the price
3.0
Pros
The meter has Good size not too big or too small Host useful of features
Nice rubber skin to protect from bumps the skin is removable Long leads about 4ft
Easy access to batteries and fuses
Crisp display.
No viewing issues from different angles
Temp feature a nice addition and worked well in my tests
Cons
Probes flex a bit if too much pressure is applied I compared to a Klein Tool MM500 a cheaper meter I had on hand and the MM500 probes didn’t flex at all and just felt better.
For continuity the buzzer starts off a bit grainy then holds steady and its a bit low. This was pronounced when you using the NCV feature. The cheaper MM500 was both louder and immediately steady when testing.
No back light I actually thought it had back-light guess I didn’t read the description properly
All in all I would recommend it as a good starting multi-meter. For the price the feature set that you get is unbeatable in comparable products.

Great Meter!
5.0
Excellent meter for the price. Does everything a meter should do. Was also recommended by Dave from the EEVblog. This is my second one as I keep one at home and one at work. Have had the first one for years.

EX330 Measurements...
5.0
I needed a safe meter for beating on out in the field and for the 50 dollar price range this meter can't be beat for the features and accuracy. I compared it to my Fluke 87-V in it's measurements: within .39% on DC volts, 2.5% for DC amps, 2.8% AC amps, .49% AC volts, 1.2% temperature, 3.4% capacitance, .18% resistance.
The worst thing about this meter is that it's on the slow side on it's auto-ranging and it takes a while to measure capacitors because it needs to charge them.
It has good input protection. I'm going to replace the 2 stock glass fuses with some HRC fuses to make it safer and I should be safe even if I make a mistake. This is my first Extech product. Extech looks to be a division of Flir and so far it's been a good experience with this meter. I'll consider them on my next tool purchase.

Nice Meter
4.0
So far I really like this little meter. It has a nice big display and a wide range of features. The temperature readings seem to vary from one test to another, maybe -4 degrees. But I don't have much experence using temperature probes, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Overall I really like the meter.

EX330
4.0
The meter is smaller than I expected, but it fits and feels great in the hands.
Pros:
It feels like a good quality meter. The lead cables are nice and flexible. The measurements are accurate. Overall, it's a great meter to start out with.
Cons:
The screen update seems slow. The HOLD function is garbage - it holds as soon as you press the button instead of triggering on a reading. The diode test functions seems to work on standard diodes, but not so well on LED's.

Great multimeter at a great price. If it had multiple/exchangeable ends instead of just probes I would have given it a 5 rating.

digital volt meter
4.0
It seems to be a good meter but I wished that I had bought one where I select the voltage, resistance, or current value, which I'm use to, instead of the meter selecting what level I was looking at. I have used the meter a few times already and it jumps around when I'm making a reading and I'm not sure what value I reading.

-warning- some disassembly required
2.0
The good:
great case, comes apart easy(keep reading). Nice probes and easy to read display.
The bad:
Temperature probe is useless. Non contact voltage works great on a cord do not trust it against an outlet. Range switch would not work on ohms (just keep turning switch till it makes contact)
The ugly:
cold solder joint on input jack.
After a little repair the volt and ohms seam to work good and is fairly accurate. I will dive back in later to try and improve the temp and non contact functions.
I guess i could have sent it back, but i bought the meter because i like to fix things.

Good multimeter
4.0
I'm very happy with this multimeter. For the price, it has a good selection of features and good accuracy. My only complaint is that the case, which is made from some kind of pretty smooth plastic that slides around on my bench. The kickstand will prop up the meter but it's not very stable. Overall, I'm very happy with the meter, however.
