good for the price

first and foremost please do realize this is a $26 multimeter. it is not fancy or streamlined. there are lead sets that cost more. that being said, it is a good and accurate tester. I primarily use this to test ac volts up to 240. we also check for continuity and jacket leakage to ground (when a megger isn't required). it is a nice daily use meter. it is a little delicate. i would buy different leads if i worked any higher volatges or in a cold climate. its not a fluke, but i would buy another again.

A reasonable quality analog meter
I operate a pump business. I haven't had luck with digital meters holding up in the field (wet, cold conditions). I needed an accurate but reasonably priced analog meter to use on a daily basis. This meter fits the bill perfectly. It has held up well under adverse conditions and from recent experience I can say that the fuse works well to protect the meter when the technician is hanging upside down in a dark hole and accidentally hits the ohm meter with 250 volts. My only complaint was that the leads supplied with the meter didn't make contact when first installed - needed to trim a bit of plastic off of each one in order for them to seat properly. Not a big issue considering the price.
