Has all the features I've ever used on a HP bench top meter at work. I've checked several components I've measured with the HP meter and results have been very close to the HP meter. I'm very impressed with the performance and capability of this meter. I also purchased the Kelvin probe which seems a good investment.

The 879B impressed me when it arrived. The build quality is solid, with an integrated rubberized exterior to protect from bumps. It included a set of short alligator clip test leads, and of course has the built-in test fixture. Also came with a power cube for use on the bench and during longer data-logging sessions through the USB port. The instruction manual is clear, and includes some handy tips to remind you how to set up the meter for certain common measurement scenarios. I'll be keeping that handy. Everything seemed accurate from my initial tests. Even spotted a dead cap in my bin on the first go-around! Good meter, if you are in the market for a handheld LCR with data logging capabilities!

This instrument is a very nice, handy, LCR meter. I find the dual display very convenient for displaying, for example, inductance and Q, while making circuit adjustments. Simple and straightforward - great for field or bench work.

Great LCR Meter would get it again.
Measures at 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz.
Only negative thing is that I wish it included the SMD tweezers.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. It doesn't use batteries as quickly as I thought it would. It includes an AC adapter for use at your desk. You can use it with the software and get more digits displayed if needed. Kelvin clips would be a nice option.
