Complete with a full range of diagnostic capabilities including phase sequence, power and power factor, total harmonics distortion and individual harmonics, inrush current and low pass filter, the Amprobe Navigator Clamp serves as a first line of defense for spot checking and verifying system conditions before deploying more specialized tools -- or incurring additional costs. It is rated CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V meter with voltage measurement up to 1000 V AC/DC. The new innovative navigation system eliminates confusing push buttons, and replaces them with a single joystick allowing the user to select functions directly on the display.

It’s all about easy and reliable measurements. Amprobe’s new line of Navigator clamp meters feature quick, easy to use single hand selection of measurements. The joy stick control allows quick selection of measurement features on the display from MAX/MIN to power factor to AC/DC, with many more available. Simply highlight the desired measurement feature using the joy stick and press to select. Rugged and CAT IV reliable, these units also feature, super bright backlight display, built-in jaw fashlight and overmold bodies to absorb shock -- all you need for commercial and industrial environments.

I recently purchased the acdc-52nav for its ability to analyze power. Its nice if you have a backup generator to be able to check the inrush current, and power factor of some appliances. And the total harmonics distortion of your system. The meter seams to be well made and the joy stick works well. Time will tell. I purchase all my meters at Tequipment. Best price and fast delivery.

Feels good, joy stick works fine. Nice display. I checked the Amprobe on DC amps, AC amps, and volts, and it read quite closely (using an Omicron relay test set for a source). Checked the PF and watts measurement, readings were good, and proper sign. Have had it for less than a week, so time will tell from here. Looks very promising.

This is my first multimeter purchase. The first time I used it was in a solid state circuitry class. This meter measured everything within its capabilities. The only problem is that it took a reading on measuring diodes going both forward and reverse bias. Amprobe says it is a problem with the meter. I cant answer whether I would recommend this item or not. I know everyone makes a lemon from time to time

Haven't had it that long, but so far so good.
All the functions I've tried work well, response is nice and fast.
The "Navigator" joystick works well, easy to use. We'll see how it holds up.
The case is kinda cheesy, I'd deduct 1/2 a star for that if I could.
