Seek Thermal Temperature Screening Solutions

There are several types of products which can be used for human temperature screening.  Each of these are designed for a specific type of use and will satisfy a unique set of requirements.

Products range from simple to complex, and everywhere in between.  They are divided into four categories on this page to aid you in the selection process and make it as easy as possible.  Clicking on any of the icons above will take you to a department for that specific product type.

Kiosks
Kiosks are one of the most popular product styles.  Testing subjects simply walk up, the device automatically takes their temperature and then provides a pass or fail signal.  There is also a screen which guides users and simplifies the process.

Kiosks are available with many different levels of functionality.  Basic, standalone units are simply mounted on a wall or stand and do nothing but measure temperature.  However, there are many models with features including email/text alerts, facial recognition, attendance management, mask detection, and much more.  It is also possible to use a kiosk to lock/unlock doors and turnstiles.

Handheld / Portable Thermal Imagers
Thermal imagers are extremely accurate devices which can be either held by held or mounted on a tripod.  These simultaneously measure thousands of temperature points and use that data to create a color-coded thermal image.

The thermal image can be viewed on a built in screen, or with some models, also sent to an external monitor.  This style is very versatile in that it can be used to take measurements while walking through a facility, or to set up a screening station at an entrance.

Screening stations
Screening stations can be temporary or permanent, and provide an efficient way to screen higher volumes of people.  They provide a testing method where staff can easily maintain a larger distance from testing subjects, helping to create a safer environment.

Equipment is typically connected to a computer where personnel can view test results and would be alerted of any potential issue.  The distance between camera and testing subject varies between models, accommodating many scenarios.  Many cameras must be within 5 feet of the person being screened, while others are over 20 feet.  Packages are available with tripods, laptops, large monitors, rolling stands and much more.

Handheld infrared thermometers
These are lower cost instruments and ideal for low volume screening.  Measurements are typically taken from the forehead and from a short distance, which requires staff to be get in close proximity to those being screened.

IR thermometers are also commonly used for secondary screening, when a high volume system has flagged someone as potentially having a temperature abnormality.  The secondary screening offers an individualized, more in depth look at the subject.
