SBS was founded in 1915 and is globally recognized for the DC power solutions they provide. Their product offerings include flooded battery cells, sealed VRLA strings, Ni-Cd jars, and Lithium-ION rechargeable battery packs. All these products are manufactured to high quality standards in SBS’s state of the art manufacturing system.
Markets
Motive Power
SBS has been manufacturing fork lift batteries and chargers for over 90 years. Today they offer flooded flat plate, tubular, valve regulated lead acid, and lithium-ion battery technologies. For charging, they offer Ferro, SCR and High Frequency chargers. SBS also offers industrial and starting batteries for applications such as automotive, golf carts, scrubbers, and generator starting.
Telecom & Rail Signal
SBS offers flooded and VRLA products for telecom, and VRLA and Ni-Cd products for enhanced performance in rail signal applications.
Battery Testing
SBS has been manufacturing battery test equipment for over 20 years. They currently manufacture digital hydrometers, internal resistance/voltage testers, load banks, hydrogen detectors and battery maintenance supplies that are simple to use and will keep your batteries at their maximum performance.
Stationary/Utility
For the utility market, SBS offers a complete line of long-life, low-maintenance tubular flooded batteries. All SBS flooded batteries incorporate a post seal design that completely prevents leaking and corrosion. They were also the first to market lead-selenium/low-antimony batteries in the US; this technology provides longer life and higher capacity than the standard lead calcium battery on the market today.
