The RIGOL DS1054Z and RIGOL DS1202Z-E are both extremely powerful budget-friendly digital oscilloscopes. Each scope packs some incredible specifications for the price you pay - you won't find better value anywhere else.

To keep it simple, there are only 2 main differences between these digital oscilloscopes. On the DS1054Z, you get 50 MHz bandwidth and 4 digital channels. On the DS1202Z-E, you get 200 MHz bandwidth and 2 digital channels. Other than that, these oscilloscopes are pretty much the same.

Both scopes have a 1 GS/s sample rate, 30,000 wfms/s waveform capture rate, and a 7-inch WVGA screen. Both scopes also come with valuable optional extras already built-in as standard. Thanks to this, on both oscilloscopes you get 24 Mpts deep memory, advanced triggering with 8 triggers, real time waveform record and replay, and serial bus analysis for triggering and decoding common serial buses. These options would normally cost you $350 if purchased separately from the scope.
