Kiosks

Kiosks offer an easy, non-contact method for temperature screening. Test subjects simply walk up to the device and it automatically reads their temperature. A pass / fail status is then provided based on the results. However, many kiosks will do much more:

• Send email or text message alerts when a high temperature is detected 
• Lock / unlock doors and turnstiles based on temperature results, employee verification and more
• Barcode / ID badge checks
• Facial recognition 
• Attendance management

In choosing a kiosk, it is important to first determine your requirements. Some models are designed solely to measure temperature. However, there are many others with a full suite of features to control who enters your building, track movement and much more. If someone does not have an ID badge, the system can keep the doors locked. If someone is displaying a high temperature, the system can email a staff member to come and assist them.

Cantronic Systems M3000HF

The M3000HF is a full featured system with a list price of only $2,350. It performs non-contact temperature measurement from the subject’s forehead with an accuracy of ±0.3°C. Testing subjects must be within 0.5 - 2m (1.6 – 6.6ft) for accurate results.

But the M3000HF does a lot more than just measure temperature. 

It features facial recognition with a 10,000 face capacity. It also supports card, password and QR code authentication to control door access.

The M3000HF comes with a desktop stand, and also has an optional floor stand.

Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF

This system is manufactured by Hikvision, one of the largest surveillance camera manufacturers on the planet.

It features an accuracy of ±0.5°C and can operate from a distance of 0.5 – 1.5m (1.6 – 4.9ft). It is important to note - unlike many kiosks on the market, this system actually contains a thermal imager with 120x160 resolution, and not a thermopile. Use of this technology enables fast, accurate and reliable test results.

Beyond temperature measurement, this system contains a great deal of other functionality:

• Access control – lock/unlock doors and turnstiles
• Facial recognition with 50,000 face capacity
• Multiple authentication modes are available: card and temperature, face and temperature, card and face and temperature, etc
• Mask detection
• Several attendance statuses – check in, check out, break start, break end, etc

This product can be mounted on a wall, as well as an optional floor or desktop stand. There is also optional monitoring tablet so that staff can easily view results from a distance.
