Electric Bearing Discharge Detector

Electric bearing discharge detectors are simple to use hand-held instruments for detecting electrical discharges in electric motor bearings. A unique remote design from SKF allows operation at a distance from motors. This helps protect the user from harm caused by touching machinery in motion. 

Electrical discharges are a result of motor shaft voltages discharging to earth through the bearing. This can cause electrical erosion, lubricant degradation, and ultimately bearing failure.
