Motic Moticam
The Moticam is a line of digital microscopy cameras. Available in several resolutions, these cameras come with everything you need to begin working, and make documentation as simple as possible. Motic employs its “All in One Box” concept, so that everything required for connection to your microscope is included with each purchase.
Resolution ranges from 0.5 to 10 megapixels throughout the Moticam line. With nine cameras to choose from, Motic seeks to offer a product for all users, from high schools students to scientists, and everyone in between. All cameras contain a CMOS sensor and are available with several connectivity options and optical formats. Most units connect via USB, however, certain models have HDMI or Wi-Fi as well. Several components are included with each Moticam purchase. With their “All in One Box” concept, Motic seeks to make the product as user friendly as possible. First, you get the camera itself, with a professional CMOS imaging chip. Housed in a C-mount case with removable IR cut-off filter, the package also comes with a focusable glass lens, matched to the size of the imaging chip. For users seeking to mount the product to a microscope’s eyepiece, the Moticam includes two adjustable adapters, enabling its connection to almost any microscope without needing to remove the eyepiece first. Calibration is made simple with a 4 dot calibration slide. This contains micrometer crosshairs and ensures accurate calibration for precise measurements. And for easy work on your computer, every Moticam comes with a full version of Motic Images Plus. This powerful software package is specially designed for photographic microscopy, so that you can quantify, measure, annotate and much more.
