Meiji Techno EMZ Stereo Bodies
The Meiji Techno EMZ series are stereo microscopes with zoom control. Available in both binocular and trinocular formats, the EMZ series are completely modular – users select their stand, eyepieces, and light source from a wide selection of high quality equipment. Think of this as an a la carte microscope. Meiji Techno enables users to easily create custom configurations, specific to their applications. You get exactly what you need, and nothing you don’t want.
Optics
The EMZ series are available in several different zoom ranges, as can be seen below. And when paired with any of over a dozen eyepieces and auxiliary objectives, it is possible to achieve magnification levels over 400x. Furthermore, eyepieces and objectives are easily changed, making the EMZ an extremely versatile piece of equipment.
Please see page 34 of this link for a table showing all possible combinations, and their corresponding optical performance. With one microscope, you can easily go from very low magnification to several hundred times, by only changing a component.
- EMZ-2: 0.7x - 4.5x
- EMZ-5: 0.7x - 4.5x
- EMZ-8: 0.7x - 4.5x
- EMZ-10: 0.7x - 4.5x
- EMZ-12: 0.4x - 2.5x
- EMZ-13: 1x - 7x
Stands
There are over two dozen different stands for the EMZ. These range from plain stands, to units with integrated illumination, to articulating arms which enable users to easily move their microscope out of the way. Meiji Techno recognizes that the EMZ series will be used in everything from forensics to biology, and has created a stand for all possible applications.
Binocular and Trinocular Models
The EMZ is available in both binocular and trinocular formats. And documentation is made simple with any of Meiji Techno’s high quality microscope cameras. Simply attach the camera to a trinocular port, and begin to document your research. Powerful software is also included to easily process photos.
Illumination
Users can select from a wide variety of illumination sources. The EMZ is compatible with several types of fiber optics, ring lights, Halogens, LEDs, Tungsten lamps and much more. There are also several different light intensities and color temperatures available.
