The Fluke 1587 FC is a 2-in-1 insulation multimeter with Fluke Connect wireless capability built-in. Fluke Connect is a powerful feature which allows you to collect data wirelessly and save it to your smartphone and to the cloud. This feature makes it easy to review data gathered over time amd helps you schedule maintenance when it fits your schedule, not when an unplanned breakdown happens. This meter can supply test voltages from 50 to 1000 V with an insulation range up to 50 MΩ. The meter is safety rated to CAT IV 600 V and rated to IP54 against dust and water ingress. With this meter, you can perform PI, DAR, and timed tests.

The Megger MIT515 does not include any wireless measurement capability, however it offers some other advantages over the 1587 FC. The primary advantages are a wider voltage range up to 5000 V as well as a higher insulation resistance range up to 10 TΩ. The MIT515 is also more rugged than the 1587 FC, especially with the unit's lid closed - with a closed lid, the MIT515 is rated to CAT IV 1000 V and IP65. The MIT515 is capable of performing IR, PI, and DAR tests.

The Megger MIT2500 features Bluetooth capability which allows you to wirelessly download data from the device to a computer. While it's a step below the powerful MIT515, the MIT2500 does feature a wider voltage range up to 2500 V as well as a higher insulation resistance range up to 200 GΩ when compared with the Fluke 1587 FC. The MIT2500 also shares some specifications with the 1587 FC including a CAT IV 600 V safety rating, IP54 ingress protection rating, and test modes including PI, DAR, and timed.

The Megger MIT430/2 also features Bluetooth capability which allows you to wirelessly download data from the device to a computer as a CSV file compatible with Excel. Concerning specifications, the MIT430/2 comes in below the MIT515 and MIT2500 but compares closely with the Fluke 1587 FC - both meters support test voltages up to 1000 V and feature a CAT IV 600 V safety rating and IP54 ingress protection rating. Test modes for both also include PI, DAR, and timed tests. That said, the MIT430/2 does have an advantage over the 1587 FC with an insulation range up to 200 GΩ.
