LX Microscopes by Unitron MIDAS-GS - 5MP USB 2.0 Camera with Polarizing Filter and Gooseneck Stand

MIDAS (Microscope Inspection Digital Application System) is a horizontally positionable digital handheld inspection system which provides a versatile way of capturing and documenting images using a polarizing filter and 5 MP USB Camera.

With a magnification range of 10X 200X and a 1/4" Color CMOS image sensor, this system is ideal for assembly, repair, inspection, leak detection, document authenticity, criminology, museum and artwork restoration, currency verification and gemstone and mineral examination.

No external light source is required, as the Midas contains built in illumination, with six white LEDs. And for reduction of glare and reflection, it also includes a polarizer, something not typically found in handheld microscopes. Polarizers are an exceptional component for any optical device, and greatly improve the overall image quality. They are typically seen in larger upright microscopes, and very common in film and photography.

MIDAS is available in three packages - without a stand, or with either a 13.8" gooseneck stand or adjustable boomstand (with 6.2" vertical and 2.9" horizontal extension).
