The Hakko FR-301 is the direct replacement for the FR-300.  The two items are similar products, however, the FR-301 does feature some design improvements, including:
  • Improved temperature recovery time for greater efficiency
  • Addition of guard to reduce solder clogging
  • Filter pipe uses the same design as the FR-410, making it easier to clean than the FR-300
  • The FR-301 uses N61 nozzles, which has three times the amount of nozzles than the FR-300
