               Comparison of the Fluke 87V Digital Multimeter and
          Fluke 787 Process Calibration meter:

 
    The Fluke 87V and Fluke 787 are both great meters that would be an asset to any technicians test setup.  Although they are intended for different uses there are still some commonalities. Both meters can measure Resistance, Frequency and AC / DC voltage and current, however, the Fluke 787 is limited to 1A for current measurements.

    The DC and AC voltage accuracy of both meters are similar along with a 10 megohm input impedance, maximum voltage ranges, True RMS, Min/Max, peak hold, auto-ranging.  They both have a backlight display, diode test capabilities. 

    The Fluke 787 is a process calibration meter able to source a 20ma current for process calibration purposes.
