Fluke Fluke Ti400 vs FLIR E60

What is the difference between the Fluke Ti400 and Flir E60

Comparison Guide

Overview

The Fluke Ti400 and Flir E60 are both excellent professional grade cameras. They are comparable in most respects, with the same thermal resolution (320 x 240), video refresh rate at 60 Hz, and thermal sensitivity at 50 mK.

The biggest difference is the price. The Flir E60 is nearly three thousand less than the Fluke Ti400. So why would you choose the Fluke solution?

The first area where the Fluke excels is the maximum temperature range. It will image up to 2192 F versus Flir's 1202 F rating. Another point to consider is connectivity. Both Fluke and Flir have embeded measurement options for their cameras, Fluke has FC, or Fluke Connect, and Flir has MeterLink. Either are only compatible with the manufacturers named devices, whether multimeters, clamp meters, or other tools. Fluke has invested heavily in this sphere and has a much broader line of compatible products that work very well together. If you already own Fluke FC tools, the Ti400 could be a great way to integrate all of the information for reporting.

Fluke also allows for easier lens swapping. The Flir E60's lens must be calibrated to the camera, resulting in longer down time if not purchased together. Fluke lenses can be purchased after the camera, and shared between cameras, resulting in a lower cost of ownership if maintaining a fleet of cameras. The Fluke Ti400 has an HDMI output for a TV monitor, the Flir must go to a computer via USB. The Fluke is heavier, at 2.3 lbs versus Flir's 1.82 lbs. Both cameras include a 2 year warranty on parts and labor, but Flir offers a free 5 year warranty on the batteries and 10 year warranty on the thermal detector, if the camera is registered.
