Comparison Summary
The Fluke 376 FC and Fluke 325 are both True RMS clamp meters. Both can measure AC/DC current and voltage, however the 376 FC is a more fully featured unit with larger measurement ranges and numerous special features not found on the 325. Perhaps the most significant feature of the 376 FC is its compatibility with the Fluke Connect® system of wireless tools. This powerful system gives you unparalleled flexibility in your work and makes saving and sharing measurement data much fast and easier. Read on below for a full breakdown of the differences between these meters.
Measurement Capabilities
The Fluke 376 FC can measure voltage up to 1000 V AC/DC as well as current up to 999.9 A AC/DC. Other measurements are also possible including frequency up to 500 Hz, resistance up to 60 kΩ, and capacitance up to 1000 μF. The 376 FC also includes a 500 mV DC measurement range to interface with other accessories as well as min, max, average and in-rush recording functions to capture variations automatically. In addition, the 376 FC includes Fluke's flexible iFlex current probe as standard. This probe allows you to measure current up to 2500 A in tight quarters where a normal rigid clamp jaw would not fit.
The Fluke 325 can measure voltage up to 600 V AC/DC as well as AC/DC current up to 400 A. Other measurements are also possible including frequency up to 500 Hz, resistance up to 40 kΩ, and capacitance up to 1000 μF. This meter is also capable of performing contact temperature measurements from -10.0 °C to 400.0 °C (14.0 °F to 752.0 °F) The 325 also includes a min/max recording function.
Special Features
The 376 FC is compatible with the Fluke Connect® system of wireless connected tools. This powerful systems lets you log and trend measurements to pinpoint intermittent faults, transmit results wirelessly via the Fluke Connect® Measurements app, create and send reports right from the field, and capture measurements from safely outside the arc flash zone using Bluetooth connectivity to your Apple or Android devices. Fluke Connect® also lets you record results directly to your phone and the Fluke Cloud™. You can even use Fluke Connect® to create and share reports from the field via email, or converse in real time with ShareLive™ video calls.
Both meters include display/data hold functions and bright display backlights as well as soft carrying cases. On the 376 FC you also get built-in logging capabilities which are helpful for capturing intermittent faults while performing other tasks. An integrated VFD low pass filter on the 376 FC is also crucial for taking accurate motor drive measurements.
Safety & Warranty
The 376 FC has been rated to IP30 against water and dust ingress and comes with a standard 3-year warranty. This meter is also safety rated to CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V. The 325 is safety rated to CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V. This meter comes with a standard 2-year warranty.
