Overview

The Fluke Ti450 offers a 320 x 240 resolution, with a SuperResolution mode that can double the resolution to 640x480 on camera or in the software. The minimum focus distance is 6in on the Ti450. With its IR-Fusion technology, it can blend the thermal and visual image, either full screen or picture in picture. LaserSharp Auto Focus is based on its internal laser distance meter, which can also be used to measure the distance to an object. Fluke also offers MultiSharp Focus, so that all objects, both near and far, can stay in focus. To stay ready for any challenge, the Ti450 has several lenses available for wide-angle or telephoto applications. This way you can see the full-side of a building or get close-up detail of an overhead or distant object. The lenses can be changed in the field and shared among compatible cameras. Through Fluke Connect, you can take measurements with a variety of other instruments and combine them with your thermal image report to get a better sense of what is happening during your image capture.

The FLIR E85 offers a 384 x 288 resolution. There is also an UltraMax mode, which will give you the ability to double the resolution on the images you collected, when viewed in the free FLIR Tools Software. The minimum focus distance on the FLIR E85 is a super-close 6in. The 4” screen on the FLIR E85 is crystal clear and pixel-less. The menu systems have been designed to be extremely fast to access important features through both buttons and touch-screen. Through the FLIR MSX technology you get a thermal image that has incredible definition, as it combines both the visual and thermal image (as well as storing them separately). The newest FLIR E-Cameras now offer auto-calibrating lenses for standard view, telephoto and wide-angle shots. The lenses do not need to be calibrated to the camera at the factory. You can add them later or swap them among other compatible cameras (sorry, old lenses will not work on the new cameras). The FLIR E85 has auto focus (one-shot and continuous) as well as manual focus. You can also pair your E85 to your smartphone and share the images you take instantly.
