Fluke Amprobe 34XR-A vs Owon B35T


 

 

Comparison of the Amprobe 34XR-A and Owon B35T Digital Multimeters:

 
    The Amprobe 34XR-A and Owon B35T are both great meters that would be an asset to any technicians test setup.  Comparitively speaking there are pros and cons to both depending on your specific application. The Amprobe 34XR-A is tried and true while the Owon B35T was just released in the summer of 2015.  I was given a Owon B35T to test and review and have to say that its quite the DMM, packed with several features and specifications you would only see in a DMM 3 times its price, providing a great bang for the buck.

     Some of the features and specifications that set them apart are the 20A maximum current measuring capability, bluetooth with android app, 60 Megohm maximum resistance range, 60 Segment analog bargraph / 6000 count display and Delta measurement feature of the Owon B35T.

    The DC and AC voltage accuracy of both meters are similar along with a 10 megohm input impedance, maximum voltage ranges, True RMS, Min/Max, peak hold, auto-ranging.  They both have a backlight display, diode, capacitance, and temperature measurement capabilities. 

    The warranty period, battery type and CAT rating are different.
