The FLIR ONE Pro takes a completely different form factor from the TG130 - while the TG130 is a standalone unit with its own screen and external buttons, the FLIR ONE Pro is a thermal camera attachment for your smartphone. This makes it extremely portable and easy to take anywhere. Versions are available for iOS (Apple) and Android devices. With FLIR’s unique OneFit adjustable connector, you can use the ONE Pro with almost any smartphone without taking the phone out of its compatible protective case.

The FLIR ONE Pro is more powerful than the TG130 when it comes to thermal imaging capability. The ONE Pro has IR resolution of 160x120, compared to only 80x60 on the TG130. Thermal sensitivity for the TG130 is 150mK, compared with 70mK on the ONE Pro. This means the ONE Pro will be more sensitive to temperature variations across a scene. The ONE Pro also includes FLIR’s MSX Technology while the TG130 does not. This technology embosses visible light details onto thermal images, so you can see exactly what you’re looking at - labels, numbers, and structural elements are all clearly visible in IR images thanks to this technology.

The FLIR ONE Pro also gives you more versatility when exporting and analyzing your thermal images. Since it works with your smartphone, you can easily transfer images directly to the FLIR ONE App then carry out analysis, editing, and report creation in the FLIR Tools App. Both apps give you additional capabilities which will help streamline the troubleshooting process. The TG130 doesn’t include this capability.

Conclusion

Overall, both cameras are well suited for entry-level thermal imaging where no training is required. That said, the TG130 is more basic and is perfect for casual users and DIY homeowners.
