FLIR FLIR Scout TK vs FLIR PS32

What is the difference between the FLIR Scout PS32 and FLIR Scout TK

Comparison Guide

Overview

The Flir PS32 and Scout TK are both excellent thermal monoculars in their own right, but have very different specifications and corresponding performance.

The PS32 includes a 320 x 240 pixel array where Scout TK has a 160 x 120 focal plane array. Compared to the Scout TK, the PS32 has four times as many pixels. Pixel count has a direct relationship to image quality, so it’s important, but the cost savings the Scout TK provides more than makes up for its lower performance.

The PS32 will also detect targets much further than the TK, 500 yards versus 100 yards. The PS32 is rated to IP67 and submersible, where the TK is not. You’ll have all of the same features in the TK including image and video capture, selectable color palettes, and long life rechargeable battery. The PS32 is a sturdier platform, with better performance and a price to match.
