The FLIR Scout is the perfect companion for the outdoorsman. FLIR’s reliably excellent thermal imaging is delivered in a compact, IP67 rated and impact resistant form factor that weighs less than a pound.
The newest iteration of the Scout is the third in the series, and it brings video refresh to an already powerful device. Previous models had an industry standard 9 Hz refresh rate, which lead to clipping and jerky images when observing wildlife scenes. Now the Scout III uses a true video refresh rate of 60 Hz (30 Hz for the Scout III-240). This provides seamless movie quality images to the user.
The Scout III includes an analog video out adaptor to record or display images on an external monitor. FLIR has also improved the image processing on the III for sharper, clearer images. The Scout III, like the Scout II, comes in three resolutions, 240, 320 and 640, depending on your needs and your budget. At the same price as the previous models, the Scout III should be your first choice in outdoor thermal imaging.
