Overview

Both the FLIR C2 and Seek Thermal Reveal are both ultra compact handheld thermal imagers. Both are designed to be a useful on the go tool for field inspections or even around the house tasks. While they provide many of the same benefits, there are key differences that you should know.

The most notable difference is the thermal resolution, the FLIR C2 sports an 80 x 60 thermal sensor while the Seek Reveal has a larger 206 x 156 Sensor. This means, the Seek Reveal will have a better quality thermal image than that of the C2. However, this does not mean that the Seek’s thermal image will be easier to analyze and pin point a problem area. Thanks to FLIR’s MSX technology, the C2 is able to overlay the thermal image onto a standard digital image of the area in view. This makes it much easier to see and locate problem areas.

These two thermal imagers each have a different form factor and viewing angle. The FLIR C2 is similar to a smartphone design with its user facing display and camera located on the back. However, the Seek Reveal has the camera mounted on the top of unit. This means the user would look down at the display while using it.

The Seek Reveal has a better thermal range covering 626 F - -40 F as compared to the C2's 302 F - 14 F.
