Fieldpiece Gas Detection

Fieldpiece Gas Detection equipment is designed to sense the presence of one or more gases near the instrument. Gas detection instruments from Fieldpiece are designed primarily for HVACR use. Fieldpiece offers Carbon Monoxide detectors and two types of combustion analyzers.
Frequent calibration is important for gas detectors. These types of instruments have a tendency to drift so most manufacturers recommend monthly calibrations or at least calibration checks. Make sure to read and follow the instructions provided by Fieldpiece with each instrument.

Fieldpiece Combustion Analyzers
Fieldpiece Combustion Analyzers are a special type of gas detection equipment. Like most other Fieldpiece instruments, they are designed to help HVACR professionals do more with their tools. Fieldpiece offers two types of combustion analyzers: a standalone unit and a modular expansion head. These instruments allow you to easily test and tune furnaces and calibrate combustion equipment without any of the costly extras found on most other combustion analyzers - extras you may not need or care about.
The modular expandsion head unit is called the
Fieldpiece AOX2. This unit is designed for use with any of the Fieldpiece stick meters that support this system. You can also purchase additional expansion heads for clamp meters, psychrometers, anemometers, and more. This means you only need one meter to perform a large variety of tests which saves you space and money. Although this head unit is not a fully capable combustion analyzer it can still measure percent oxygen and flue temperature and then calculate percent carbon dioxide.

The standalone combustion analyzer from Fieldpiece is the
Fieldpiece SOX3. Again, this unit is designed from the ground up specifically for HVACR professionals. It allows you to easily tune furnaces when a full combustion analysis isn't neccessary. That said, this meter can still directly measure %O2 and flue temperature, and calculate %CO2, %Excess Air, and combustion efficiency.

- Tests natural gas, oil #2, propane
- Can be easily programmed to test any fuel
- Automatic electric pump with pause feature

Fieldpiece Carbon Monoxide Gas Detectors
Fieldpiece Carbon Monoxide detectors are unique because they allow you to perform real time "walk-around" tests. These tests are simple to perform. All you need to do is zero the unit outdoors away from a CO source then enter the building you wish to test for CO. Then, while simply walking around the building your Fieldpiece CO detector will display real time CO levels so you can narrow down and pinpoint the highest concentration of gas and ultimately the leak source.
This is possible because Fieldpiece Carbon Monoxide detectors have extremely fast reaction times due to their fast electrochemical sensors. For added flexibility these sensors are easily replaceable in the field; they come pre-calibrated and will last about two years. They are also capable of measuring 0-1000 ppm CO. Other notable features of Fieldpiece CO detectors include audio/visual alarms, bright blue backlit displays, MAX hold, and quick calibration to ambient via ZERO button.
