The Weller WD1002 is a programmable, digital soldering station. It comes complete with everything you need, right in the box – base unit, soldering iron and stand, tip, and brass wool tip cleaner.
Fully programmable - saves all your settings
The WD1002 includes the WD1 single port station – a fully programmable, digital base unit, with an easy to use front panel interface. Preset temperatures can be assigned to any of the three buttons directly below the unit’s screen, enabling users to quickly change between their most frequently used settings. Therefore, to reach a commonly used temperature, you simply push a button – it is not necessary to re-enter the setting each time. It also contains a large, high contrast LCD display, so users can easily see the operating temperature and settings under virtually any condition.
Several other settings can also be programmed into the WD1. First, users can select whether the display is shown as Celsius or Fahrenheit. Users can also select the iron’s setback time, (between 1-99 minutes), controlling the amount of time before the iron returns to idle mode. The setback temperature can be programmed as well. And for applications where a supervisor or instructor must restrict temperature change by the operator, the WD1 contains a temperature lockout feature.
Powerful 80 watt soldering iron
The soldering pencil included with the WD1002 package is the WP80. The WP80 is a 24 volt / 80 watt iron and uses the LT series tip. It mounts in the WDH10 stand (included), which tilts in four positions between 30 and 80 degrees.
