I purchased the new housing to replace the broken housing on my old Weller D-440. The old one looks like Bakelite and the newer housing is thinner, some plastic looking material. It fits and gun will get more years of use without the broken epoxy look.

I've had this solder gun for longer than I can remember. After all these years I dropped it and broke the plastic housing. Wasn't sure if parts would be available or not but decided to look. Came across this company and they had just what I needed and at a good price. Was able to swap out the case in a matter of minutes. While at it I also replaced the light bulbs and put a new tip on it. Works just like new and I am glad I found this company and would do business with them in the future.

Years ago I dropped my Weller D550 soldering gun and shattered the top rear of the housing. It still worked so I just taped it up with electrical tape and used it. It's always bothered me and it looked really bad and recently the insides of the gun started to rattle around. So I purchased the new D550RH housing from TEquipment.net and it was a perfect fit replacement. Don't know why I waited so long to fix it but it looks and works like new now.
