Exactly what I needed

I didn't know what I was going to do when the switch on my soldering iron broke, so when I found this I was thrilled. When it arrived it was exactly as described. It fit perfectly and I was able to repair my soldering iron with no problem.

This is a form-fit-function replacement for the OEM 2-position switch. Note that the case it is made from is a softer plastic than the original and if too much heat us used in soldering it into circuit the internal connections can shift position and ruin the switch. That is what happened to me. Do not apply solder to the solder tabs fr too long.

Weller tip with nuts and switch

I installed the new tips and switch on a Weller soldering gun on which the switch had burned up. At the beginning of the repair I found a pinched set of wires that apparently shorted. The new switch fit in perfectly and the soldering tip works just as well. I tin the tip and loosen then tighten the nuts periodically to retard corrosion and this soldering gun works fabulously. Would I buy these parts again? Without hesitation!!
