Works great for lifting off old components but...
4.0
Components are lifted by covering the vacuum hole with your index finger while the pump is running. This works great for removing old components but when placing new components this can be a problem. Once you place your component you'll want to release that component. You'll find that the vacuum hole will stay stuck to your index finger causing you to pull the component back out of place in order to release the component.

WR3M Vacuum pickup
I'm using this with a WR3M base unit. Conveniently, all my tools are now in one spot taking minimum bench space. This is a typical pneumatic chip lifter. You cover the hole with your finger and lift chips. Not much else to say. Weller quality. Heat resistant (I presume - I have not yet accidentally laid my desolder tool across the air tube... Pricey for what it is, but will probably outlive me.
