Here's the Heat
5.0
This ain't your daddy's ol' soldering gun. No way!!! After spending many years soldering at the hobby grade level as well as car audio I decided to splurge and find out once and for all if these stations in the $500 price range were really that much different. Well, I'm here to say I'm sold. The heat that this thing generates is beyond incredible. I used it solder 1/0 gauge flexible welding cable just for kicks and turned up the temp and I was stunned how fast the solder flowed and how quickly the joint was created. Nice and shiny it was. The bottom line is this. Weller makes a great product and so does Hakko, but for my money and given that you use a station frequently, you can toss all other soldering equip less your portable butane unit to the curb and just flip the switch on your WT11011HN.

Lots of power! And no huge tip! 4 tip options!
200 watt iron lots of power just what i was looking for and it doesn't have the giant 5/8 inch tip also has 4 different tips available! Used it on a couple 10 and 15 amp hour lipo packs to take some bad cells out works amazing i was using a 95 watt iron that would just bearly melt the solder on the junctions. They also use some high temp silver solder or lead free stuff it takes a lot to melt it and the batteries soak up a lot of heat fast also! It should work just just as well doing the heavy 8 awg leads to some power supplies haven't got to that project yet one of the main reasons i got it. If u need lots of heat and power this one should do the trick with out the giant 5/8" tips and only a single tip the other irons offered!
